"Because
of the deeply personal nature of this recording, I originally
thought not to release it. That it would be my closure; my healing;
my pain and...my joy. But, in the final stages of completing The
Girl Beyond the Waves, I came to believe that even the most deeply
personal experience is also the most truly universal experience.
And, that there is a healing in the sharing...for everyone.
All of us have sustained a loss. It comes in many forms. Loss
of innocence; loss of youth; loss of a job. And so, with the untimely
and sudden death of my partner in marriage, Maya Korenn, I offer
this musical chronicle of these emotions...deeply felt."
